Instruction to clear an E603 Communication Failure
- Hit reset
- Locate the Function Button on the keypad
- Locate the Interior Button on the keypad
- Press the function button repeatedly until you come to a screen that says Activate Dialer Test.*
- Immediately press the interior button. This will force the system to do a phone line test. If the signal goes through the error will clear. If it remains then service of the system is required.
*Note: If you repeatedly hit the function button and do not come to a screen that says “Activate dialer test” you will need to press the reset button again, enter your code and then proceed to step 4.
For P800
Instructions to clear a Communication Failure
- Hit reset
- Locate the Function Button on the keypad
- Locate the Number 4
- Press the function button and then the number four.
- The Keypad should then Beep once and then the number 3 will appear
- Repeat step 4, this will clear the Com Failure
- Press the interior button to exit
If the trouble does not clear or you received a series of beeps and number different then step 5 your system may require service.
Instructions to change the system Battery
- Call Central Station 1-800-933-4762 and tell them to place you account on test.
- Locate the panel for you alarm
- Open the door to the panel
- The system battery is connected by two wires, slide the connector wires off of the old battery.
- Remove old battery once disconnected.
- Put the new battery inside the panel where the old battery was.
- Remove the white plastic protectors from the connector tabs on the new battery.
- Reconnect the wires to the new battery
- Close panel door
- You may need to press reset on the keypad once you have finished to clear any battery troubles.
- Call Central Station and tell them to take your account off of test.
Instructions to change a Battery in a Wireless Device
- Call Central Station 1-800-933-4762 and tell them to place you account on test.
- Locate the wireless device that needs the new battery. At the top of the plastic casing there is a small slot at the top of the case, use a small flat head screwdriver and gently pop the cover off.
- Remove old battery.
- Put the new battery inside the device where the old battery was.
- Put the cover back on the
- You may need to press reset on the keypad once you have finished to clear any battery troubles.
- Call Central Station and tell them to take your account off of test.
